Right to Erasure — Article 17 GDPR

Data Erasure

Use this form to request deletion of your Tremble account data. We will confirm receipt within 72 hours and complete eligible erasure within 30 days.

If you can still sign in, the fastest route is the app itself: Settings → Account → Delete account. That deletion runs immediately. This form exists for people who cannot access their account.

What happens to your data

What is deleted

When we complete a full account deletion, we permanently delete:

  • Your profile — name, date of birth, gender, bio, occupation, hobbies, lifestyle answers, relationship intent, and your phone number if you provided one
  • Your religion and ethnicity, if you consented to provide them
  • Your photos and any Pulse Intercept media held in our media storage
  • Your sign-in credentials and authentication record
  • Your coarse location record, and any precise-location records created by Precision Finding
  • Your waves, matches, proximity events and notifications, and Run Mode crossing records
  • Your Gym Mode presence record and any Gym Mode crossing records involving you
  • Your monthly Near Miss counts
  • Reports you filed about other people, and any photo evidence attached to them
  • Your rate-limiting and request records

This deletion is immediate and irreversible once processed. It is not a scheduled expiry.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Reports other people filed about you. Retained as moderation evidence under Article 17(3)(e) GDPR, with your identifier replaced by [deleted] so no personal data about you remains in the record. No fixed expiry.
  • A record of this erasure request. We keep the fact that a request was made, when, and its outcome, so we can demonstrate compliance. It expires after 2 years and is deleted automatically thereafter.
  • Crash and error reports. Diagnostic reports sent by the app are not linked to your identity. Reports held by Sentry expire after 30 days and are deleted automatically thereafter. Reports held by Firebase Crashlytics expire according to Google's retention schedule for that service.
  • Subscription records. Our subscription provider RevenueCat retains a record of your entitlements under its own retention schedule. Payments are processed by Google Play and the Apple App Store, which retain transaction records under their own policies and applicable accounting law. We cannot delete these on your behalf.
  • A welcome or safety-alert email we have already sent. We keep no copy after sending. Once a message has been delivered, how long it is kept is governed by the recipient’s own mail provider, not by us, and account deletion cannot withdraw a message that has already arrived. See §2.13 of the privacy policy. Deleting your account does not itself send a confirmation email.
  • Photo screening records. When you upload a photo it is checked automatically for objectionable content by Google Cloud Vision, and we keep a record of that check — see §2.12 of the privacy policy. These records are erased by the automated deletion above, along with the rest of your data. Independently of any request they expire 90 days after the upload was screened and are deleted automatically thereafter.

Submit a request

Apple Sign In: If you chose "Hide My Email" when signing in with Apple, please enter your private relay address (ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com). You can find this address on your iOS device: Settings → [Your Name] → Sign in & Security → Hide My Email.

Scope of Erasure Request
Cancel your subscription first.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active Tremble subscription. It renews until cancelled, and we cannot cancel it for you. Cancel it in your Google Play or App Store settings before you submit this request.

The request opens in your email client so it is sent from the account you control.

If your browser does not open a mail client, email us directly at privacy@trembledating.com with the subject "Erasure request", and include your full name, the email address registered with Tremble, and the scope of your request.

Withdrawing consent without deleting your account

You do not need this form to withdraw consent for religion or ethnicity. Open Settings → Privacy consents in the app and withdraw either one. The attribute is erased from your account at that moment and stops being used in matching.

Your other rights

Alongside erasure, you have the right to access, rectification, restriction, portability, and objection under GDPR and ZVOP-2. To exercise any of them, contact privacy@trembledating.com. We will respond within 30 days.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with Informacijski pooblaščenec RS (www.ip-rs.si) if you believe your data is being processed unlawfully.
