General Compliance Statement
Tremble does not use machine learning, a trained model, or a recommendation/ranking algorithm to decide which profiles are shown to which users. The order of profiles on the radar is based solely on physical proximity (BLE RSSI + GPS geohash).
Visibility of a profile can additionally be excluded by a small set of deterministic, user-configured preference rules: gender/matching preference, age, drinking habit, and nicotine use (applied the same way for every user), and — with mutual explicit consent — religion and ethnicity (see Privacy Policy §2.4).
None of these rules constitute machine learning, inference, or an "AI system" under Article 3(1) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the AI Act) — they are simple, fully human-authored conditional logic, not a system that infers outputs from data.
